It's not in the compatibility list of http://madwifi.org/wiki/Compatibility#Atheros . Maybe you should ask at http://madwifi.org/wiki/Support as pfSense uses the madwifi driver.

Atheros 5354 is nothing i know about, do you mean the Senao 5354 MP ARIES ??
If so it will work.
