      Hello, I recently moved to a Dry loop service(fttn) under Bell which involves TV and Internet.

      The Setup is as follows:

      Outside (2* RJ11)> HomeHub2000(DHCP) (RJ45)> Pfsense(DHCP) (RJ45)> {Internal network}
                                              |
                                              (RJ45)>TV Receiver

      Problem is Pf-sense is blocking IPTV related packets which prohibit me to from using https://tv.bell.ca (As well as the Android app) to watch tv on devices under PFsense.

      Side notes:

      • Support for Bridge mode apparently only available to business users(?), so until i can clear that up the HomeHub needs to exist. EDIT 2

      • I receive "Request denied by Squid Guard: 403 Forbidden ; Client group: host; Target group: in-addr", When Trying to access the HomeHub with devices under PFsense

      • Also Even if Squid Guard was stopped, it still displayed the "Request denied…"

      • I suspect that IGMP packets are a part of Whats being blocked(src HomeHub2000 ; Dest 224.0.0.1)

      Not Urgent; Will Provide Information if requested; Any and all responses appreciated.

      EDIT:
      Forgot to list all the services running under PFsense:
      c-icap, clamd, darkstat, dhcpd,
      dnsbl, dpinger, miniupnpd, ntpd,
      openvpn, snort, squid, squidGuard, unbound

      EDIT 2:
      Just called bell today for instructions to Put HH2000 into Bridge mode; the Response was a flat out no,
      but he did acknowledged google listings of people who got it into Bridge mode.

        I looked around some and it seems Bell uses VLANs on the HomeHub2000; VLAN 35 for data and VLAN 36 for TV.  Given that, I searched some more and found another post on the forums from someone who claims to have done exactly what you're looking to do (I think).  It's worth taking a look at least if you haven't already found and tried this:

          @TheNarc

          That thread reffers to people who have ftth services which includes a isp provided ONT

          Sadly i only have fttn.

          Also Just for curiosity I did try the guide for my setup; but with no luck.

            Bummer.  Sorry, I missed that distinction.  Unfortunately this sounds specific enough to the Home Hub 2000 hardware that I'm not sure anyone who doesn't own it and/or has been through the same issues with it will be of much help.  I did find a relatively recent (June 2016) post claiming to have a procedure for putting the "Bell hub 1000/2000" into bridge mode, but I don't know if that is a different piece of hardware than the "Home Hub", and someone else was then claiming that the Home Hub has no bridge mode.  So, I don't hold out much hope that this will be helpful either, but may be worth taking a look:

              @TheNarc

              Just Read and tried the Reset + Brightness button combo; no luck, just defaults to the same settings(dhcp on, wifi on).
              had to call bell to "reset" the Internet(pppoe) and the TV(pppoe) ….

              also visitors want to use the Internet (and watch tv) so i cant mess about on it until Tuesday...

                Well this is embarrasing;

                Interfaces>Wan
                                    IPv4 Configuration Type>pppoe
                                    Username>"bell provided b1….."
                                    Password>"give bell a call and ask; or reset router and call bell(will provide iptv & "internet" password)"
                                    save>

                Pfsense"home page">
                                              "look at wan interface; if not under range of HH2000, finished."

                hh2000 and Pfsense will have different ip's; but both are able to access iptv services; no need to specify vlans?

                only issue i have right now is that my vpn is providing service to ip's that i didint specify it to (probably going to be another thread,later).
                oh, and still looking for ways to get rid of hh2000...
