Help with Captive Portal Vouchers Expire
-
I've setup my Vouchers to expire after 3 days , but i also set a 3 hour idle timeout and a 8 hour hard timeout
problem is that clients who got timeout have to relog using the Voucher code ,
is there anyway for them to logon only once and are only required to login again after the voucher expires…?
Thanks

Yeah. Don't idle/hard timeout voucher users. Set MAC address passthrough instead.
You can't really have both.

what does the "Set MAC address passthrough instead" really do anyway
am a bit confused on it's description
-
It adds the MAC address to the pass through list. When the voucher expires it is removed.

hi , i'm in a bit loss here ;D i already disable hard and idle timeouts
maybe I've been changing the wrong settings
Pass-through credits per MAC address <- if i set this to 1 or more.. clients don't authenticate thru the Captive Portal's vouchers anymore
Pass-through MAC Auto Entry < - if i set this…Vouchers works , but clients Mac address gets recorded and i have to manual remove them one by one
thanks

What do pass-through credits have to do with anything?
If you want to create a 6-hour voucher, create a roll of 6-hour vouchers.
If you want to use pass-through credits, use those.
If you want to use usernames/passwords and timeouts, use those.
