When should we expect the multi-threaded version of Snort?

I'm assuming you're referring to Snort 3.0?

If so it is still in alpha, and as far as I know relatively far from a final release.

I would expect that pfSense won't get it until a stable release is available in FreeBSD ports. No idea when that will be, but don't hold your breath.

The first beta release is expected around midyear, so it's going to be a bit before it comes into a stable version.
