      Hi

      I am running pfsense at home. I have set up an OpenVPN server.

      When I connect to the OpenVPN server with my mobile phone, I find that there is a significant delay in being able to initially connect to messaging services such as Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger and Snapchat. Once it has established the initial connection to these services - it is quick. Accessing webpages is fine right from the get-go.

      When I connect my mobile to a VPN using the PrivateInternetAccess App, there are no initial connection delays.

      Any settings I should be looking at with my OpenVPN server to ensure a quick initial connect to these messaging services?

      Any help would be much appreciated.
