    Hello,
can it be possible that Automatically Restore During Install ( https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Automatically_Restore_During_Install )
is not working in the beta/not enabled.
i test it on a usb stick with fat32 and fat16 with a 1gb stick and one with 16gb.
i start the installation with the installation image on the usb stick and on another usb stick i put the conf.xml in /conf folder.
after reboot only factory default config is use.
the usb stick with the conf file can i mount and config.xml is readable after installation.
    any suggestion ?

+1 to keep this functionality in future versions.

2.4 has a completely different installer, some of the old features still have yet to be ported over, if they are still possible.

I'd like to see that, and the rescue install option, both come back, but we'll have to see if there is time/resources/etc to get that in 2.4.

Turns out it wasn't as hard to put back as I was expecting.

Should be in snapshots before long.

It's in snapshots now and confirmed to be working. So give it a try.
