10.10.10.1 trying to delete error
-
I had DNSBL enabled for testing but then disabled it. The settings had a floating virtual IP of 10.10.10.1 (default) that is now gone but throwing this error in the logs:
/usr/local/www/pfblockerng/pfblockerng.php: The command '/sbin/ifconfig 'igb1' delete '10.10.10.1'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCDIFADDR): Can't assign requested address'
This error appears to occur after every hourly cron update.
Has anyone ever seen this and if so, know how to resolve?
TIA

I played with PfBlocker and DNSBL when I started…since starting pfsense I have done numerous fresh pfsense installs to make this and similar errors go away.
I don't think you need to do a fresh pfsense install. I wish I had a concrete answer but maybe try doing a uninstall of pfblockerng and then reinstall the package? Make sure to not keep your pfblockerng setting when you uninstall it.
To answer part of your question, "yes" I have seen it before.

thanks! I'm also having WAN drop issues since upgrading to 2.3.4-p1 so I might just re-install with 2.4 and try that out as well.
It's just a home firewall so not like I have massive rules/etc set :)
