      Sup pf legends!!!

Just a quick question on blocking with squid gaurd.

I have setup squid in non transparent mode severing proxy files using dns forwarder and using generated certs.

All seems to be working great blocking https websites like a monster!!!
Issue is when someone wit a Android phone or apple phone joins the network, they can browse any sites!!!

      Any Ideas???

Put a block on LAN for tcp 80/443 above your Default Allow rule.

          Hey!

Thanks for the reply, i did this works 100% but how is it going to work now with Auto proxy discovery?
If i want to connect a phone and put it on auto i need to specify proxy.pac file.
This server is running at a school so to specify the proxy.pac file on 500 devices is going to be rough  :'(

??? It's going to work exactly the same.  Perhaps I don't understand your question.

You need more than just a proxy.pac file.

            WPAD Autoconfigure for Squid

Android does not support WPAD btw, so those clients will need to manually config the proxy.

These are all squid/squidguard questions now so you should start a new thread in the Cache/Proxy forum.
