      Hi,

I have a powerful Hyper-v server based on server 2012 for home for media and other activities. I wanted to remove my old Cisco 5510 and replace it with a virtual pfsense router. When I add the 5 nics required (WAN/HOME/GUEST/DEV/MGMT) it only sees the first 3. On boot it presents an error "hm3 attach returned 12".

These are being presented to the hyper-v server via a trunk and then tagging the VLANS on the interfaces on the VM.

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix?

      Thanks

If you can, upgrade your Hyper-V host, I got more than three on my 2012R2 without problems

          Thanks for your reply.

I upgraded the server to 2012 r2 today and it works perfectly. All 6 nics recognised and working.
