      Hi,

I admit I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to pfsense / firewalls but I am learning so please bear with me and be gentle!

I have a VPN client running on pfsense and I would like to be notified if this VPN connection ever drops. I don't mind if this notification is by email / pushed iPhone notification.

What's the easiest way for me to get a notification if the VPN drops?

I have seen some people mention PTRG which looks good but not sure how easy this will be for me to set up / if it would work in my situation.

I do have uptime robot monitoring my WAN address (DDNS) but I don't think I can set this up to monitor my VPN as it would monitor the IP on the VPN server which I don't own.

      Thanks in advance!

      Jake
