Inactivity timeout (–ping-restart), restarting
-
Hi,
I've been trying out pfSense for a few weeks now and it's been working great. Last week i noticed that v2.4 was released and I upgraded to that one.
Immediately my VPN connection started to act up and I got these weird disconnections. First it just disconnected and didn't reconnect but I found a solution for that.
pull-filter ignore "auth-token"That made the reconnection to work but the core problem is the disconnection. It happens every 1-30 minutes. And it's always the same in the logfile.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the disconnections, but if i change timezone in settings it will force a ping-restart event, and disconnect the tunnel.
I've seen a few other peoble with similar problems and many (all?) seems to have PIA in common. But i can't say for sure that they had the same problems with the time (if that is the problem)
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try.. or not try=) Thanks

@AnthonyW
Hi Anthony, as I face the same issue with my users frequently getting disconnected due to inactivity timeout. I found your KB here, however I can't see https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=138984.0
could you please explain how to resolve or guide me the correct forum to find the resolution.
