Squid 4.x
-
Any plans, in the near feature, to update Squid to version 4, or make a additional squid-devel package?
It looks like it has much better SslBump support:
If Squid-4 or later fails to parse an expected TLS Client Hello message, Squid consults on_unsupported_protocol directive.

Thanks.

There are no plans. And squid 4.x is still beta.

Hello Jimp, that's why I was asking for a squid-dev package, like it was available in previous releases of pfSense. Squid 4 is RC for almost a year now, so I hope it will be stable soon.

I've installed Squid 4 manually today and it's working nice, just minimal changes needed in squid.inc due the new config tags.

can you share your config for Squid-4?

Any update to this? Squid 4 is final since July 2018 and in the meantime in release version 4.6

We now plan to include Squid 4.x in the 2.5 release based on FreeBSD 12. We have not yet begun the work on this, but will soon.

Ok, thanks for your statement!
