ClamD Keeps Turning Off

I have an SG-3100 with SquidGuard installed. I run ClamAV using that but notice that every once in a while ClamD just stops. The timing isn't very consistent so it's difficult to predict. Does anyone have experience with such an issue? I tried to access the syslog and clamd.log but when running clog I get a permission denied error. Sudo gives the same reply
