Hi wondering someone can help me,

I am running a pfsens VM in a pool of vms and it has only one intrface (a limitation on the provisioning side, apart from webui rest is function properly) marked as WAN. WAN interface is associated with just one ip (192.168.15.1) and talk to a gateway (192.168.15.254) in the same range.

I am able to access webui from outside of the network but from with in 192.168.15.0/24 it gives unable to access the server but I am able to ping 192.168.15.1

Currently the server is fully open from firewall!

      Thanks and Regards

      Asanka

          @asankacgl:

….. WAN interface is associated with just one ip (192.168.15.1) and talk to a gateway (192.168.15.254) in the same range.

So WAN, LAN, everything is here : 192.168.15.0/24 …. You is well, this will never works.

Try this : keep LAN on 192.168.1.0/24 - pfSense LAN using 192.168.1.1 and your WAN on 192.168.15.1

Edit : and where are the logs ??

Hi Gertjan, thank you for the reply

There is only one interface on this VM, which is ladled as WAN, only thing that is not working for me is WebUI. Which can be accessed from any other network apart from its own

            Best Regards

            Asanka

pfSense needs 2 interfaces at least : LAN (first) and a WAN to be useful.

                Hi Gertjan,

I have few isolated virtual environments using vlans and this is one of those. Each isolation is connected to a remote site using pfsense tunnel (openvpn) using same configuration as the one that I am having issues with WebUI. I double checked and compared the configuration, seems identical.

                Thanks and Regards

I think the following option on the interface is enable and you are coming from an internal ip address.

"Block private networks and loopback addresses"
