Hello.  I've installed pfSense 2.4.2 in a VM with a single core and it's working great.  I'd like to add a additional core to the machine.  Would this require a reinstall to have the OS utilize the additional core?  TIA.

Any special network tuning I should look at?  I'm running on lowly Realtek Gb NICS, but i'm getting my full ISP throughput.  All Advanced/Networking features are enabled at this time.  I've also set the disk to be a fixed 4GB rather than dynamic and fixed memory since it doesn't seem to recognize dynamic.  TIAA…

      Continuing my stream of consciousness...
Do Integration Services need to (somehow) be installed on this VM?

Why not try checkpointing the vm, then shut it down and try adding another cpu. If it doesn't work, go back to the checkpoint. You do not need to do anything with integration services.

Thanks very much for the reply.  I did that and it's working fine.  Very happy with how this is running as a VM.  Much better than when I tried the x86 version on 2008R2 with its legacy adapters and all. Seamless install and config restored from my old 32bit box and everything works great.
