I am get this repeatedly in th system log:

Dec 21 10:42:15 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network
Dec 21 10:09:00 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network
Dec 21 10:05:46 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network
Dec 21 09:35:23 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network
Dec 21 09:05:46 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network
Dec 21 09:02:16 kernel: arplookup 192.168.20.214 failed: host is not on local network

The device is a security camera dvr that is connected to the LAN but not part of the windows 2003 domain.  Why am I getting this and is there a way of suppressing this?  I have several other identical devices that are not giving me this error.

      thx in advance
