Captive Portal - timeout

good morning,

i have a captive portal setup on pfsense, on this we have no timeout limits specified but still all clients got timed out this morning, the log only states TIMEOUT, what could be the cause of this as ive said we do not have active time outs set and so we should not have time outs on any accounts.
any feedback would be greatly appreciated
