      Hi Guys,

I am currently running pfsense captive portal with RADIUS as AAA. Right now I can control bandwidth usage of individual users via radius attributes in radreply and radgroupreply. My question is, how do I limit bandwidth usage of Voucher authenticated users by using radius attributes?

        Enable per-user bandwidth restriction

          Is that so ?
What I read & understood was this :
          You are using vouchers
          Or
          You are using Radius …

I do not understand your :

usage of Voucher authenticated users by using radius attributes

The voucher backend can be handled by (Free)Radius ?

Hi, If I enable per user bandwidth restriction on the CP settings will this also effect bandwidth usage of radius authenticated users who also has bandwidth restrictions thru radius attributes?

Hi, I'm using Pfsense CP with freeradius package. But I'm also planning to enable CP Vouchers. How do I limit bandwidth usages of voucher authenticated users?

Radius bandwith setting (per user, or not) will override the global bandwidth setting on the captive portal settinsg page.

Per captive portal instance, Vouchers or FreeRadius is mutual exclusive.

@gertjan meaning if I configure a bandwidth restriction on the CP settings page (for the voucher authenticated users) it will be ignored by the RADIUS attributes per user that I configured?

                      You can use
                      Voucher
                      or
                      Radius
Not both at the same time at the same portal instance.

This means that vouchers all share the same bandwidth settings, set up on the captive portal page.

FreeRadius gives you the possibility to set a per-user bandwidth setting.
