My cellphone is being disconnected every 2 minutes when I run the portal captive

  • Hello everybody!! I have a problem. I am running my own server, so I needed a portal captive and I tried pfsense. I modified the html code of the main page of the captive portal to redirect it automatically without authenticating to my local server (192.168.0.100). However, after 2 minutes my cellphone is disconnected from the network. Laptops and other media over WIFI works just fine.

I think it is because I am not authenticating, so the captive portal is disconnecting my cell phone. I do not want to authenticate because I just want to provide my services in the local server.

    Any ideas? Greetings!!

    Hi,

An idea : stop the captive portal. The problem persists ?

  • And how do I redirect all traffic requests to my local server??

  • The captive portal is not a redirecting thing.

By default, close to  nothing get through the interface and when authenticated, the rules on the GUI interface are used.
No redirecting comes into play here … or I'm not understanding how you use the captive portal.

Btw, I believe this is more a wifi-radio connection issue - just cable up a device, not a phone of course, to see if the problem still exists.
