Traffic Totals Data Recreation

I've lost my accumulated traffic totals data from the last year.  Is there a way to have this rebuilt?

Also, is the traffic totals data automatically being backed up?  This thread (https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=114753.105) originally announcing it asks the same question, but at this point I can't find a current status on it.
