I would like to do exemption .

      For example, instead of putting

      subdomain1.example.com
      subdomain2.example.com
      subdomain3.example.com

      I can instead just use

      *.example.com

      Is that possible Marcelloc ?

Please, research a little bit and read the example files loaded on each field before asking.

All these questions seems to be posted without a simple try first.

It explicit shows that there is no wildcard on e2guardian, just type the domain instead of each host.domain

Marcelloc, thank you but I have read that and that sub domain is www.  but what I am asking if like this

          dropbox.com
          d.dropbox.com
          client.dropbox.com
          dl-debug.dropbox.com
          log.getdropbox.com
          photos-thumb.dropbox.com
          client-web.dropbox.com
          cfl.dropboxstatic.com

all of the above is dropbox with subdomain.  does that mean if I make exemption for dropbox.com, all the subdomain will also be exempted ?  I just have to ask because the pfsense is in production immediately.  No other way for me to test.

There's no wildcard support. If you're not using MITM then Dropbox should work out the box, however if you do use MITM. In my case, adding Dropbox.com to the exception list did the trick.

Dropbox uses SSL pinning and will not accept the fake certificate from E2 Guardian.

For this particular case, and in my testing. There wasn't a need, as Dropbox only seemed to care about its main domain. Dropbox.com.
