How to remove OpenVPN setup without starting with pfSense factory settings
-
I have used the tutorial tutorial by SparkLabs (makers of the Viscosity OpenVPN client) to set up my OpenVPN server. Somewhere along the way I screwed up and ended up with a non-matching user certificate. What would I have to do to remove certificates and other settings, in order to be able to start over with the tutorial from scratch?

@dominikhoffmann I would also like to know. I don't think having an inactive certificate will harm the system in any way, but I like my thinks neat and tidy.

Do a reversal of the procedure you followed. Delete instead of create. Another option for next time is to take a config backup before you embark on a new project. You might also be able to restore an archived backup in the backup history in Diagnostics > Backup & Restore.

@derelict Point well taken, about making a configuration backup. Thanks!
