      Are there any plans to make the pfSense web-GUI accessible by HTTPS (i.e. encrypted transfer). It would sure be nice to know that my password is not accessible to network snooping.

        Do you mean the admin gui?
        That already has that functionality.
        system/advanced/admin access and change Protocol to https. It's also a good practice to change the port to something not standard.
