We really, really appreciate the forum post flags. Many of you have spotted spam we wouldn't have otherwise seen.

In the case of this "Chinese College" spam, which we are trying to mitigate, it is enough to simply flag the posting account. It is not necessary to flag every individual post.

We are getting bombarded with alerts and it is trivial to delete all of the posts from a particular user without an individual notification of every post.

Thank you all for your efforts.

If its just one guy he is bouncing off shit all over the place - the IPs are all over the globe... Mots of the garbage and SEO spam accounts come from india or bangladesh from what I have gathered in the short time I have been mod. But that china spam is coming from IPs all over the place - one was a IP in PA for example..

Seems to me the guy, if it is one guy, posts around 08:00 AM Greenwich time (the real time).

I guess the type double http:// triggered it.
Can't even edit my own post anymore.

Lets hope it helps.. The only good thing about lots of spam is means your popular and the spammers think this is good place to get attention even if only for a few minutes ;) You would think for example the china spammer would get get the idea that hey are posts only up for hour at most not worth the effort..

Glad to be of assistance @jwt - as was telling Ivor my pleasure trying to keep the place I play clean.. And has been very enlightening to see some of the nonsense that gets posted the seo accounts are crazy stupid...
