      Hi
I plan to switch from Kerio Control to pfSense and have bought a new PC with 4 Intel NICs, Core I5 CPU with 4 Gig memory and a 64 Gig SSD

Installation went well, I have only pfBlockerNG, Squid, SquidGuard and Snort installed but the WebGui is sometimes very slow.
Especially when I change settings and save teh config it takes 30 seconds up to 2 minutes until teh GUI gets updated

I found some older treads re slowness but that was with 2.3.x but I run 2.4.3-RELEASE-p1 which shoudln't have these issues

      Any idea?

      Thanks in advance
      Daniel

        Sure ☺

Start with a clean system, no packages, just a WAN & LAN.
On a system like yours that should give you warp speed. If not : interesting case - the default setup should work just fine.

I agree with the fact that pfBlockerNG, Squid, Snort should run very well on your system.

Btw : if you are the only user behind your pfSense, even pfBlockerNG, Squid, Snort are not needed. I never found a use for it, having an entire company behind my pfSense, and a whole bunch of various devices on a Captive Portal.

Btw : SquidGuard should be avoided as it is old, support pretty dead and no more development.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
