I am getting very slow speeds with PIA VPN enabled even with AES-NI. Its like pfsense is not taking advantage of AES-NI support that my hardware has.

      My cable is a 100Mbps down / 10Mbps up.
But with my PIA VPN enabled I only get 40Mbps down.
If I use the PIA app on windows I get very close to 100Mbps down.

I assumed that this hardware below was sufficient at handling these speeds with VPN and the AES-NI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      2.4.3-RELEASE (amd64)
      Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N3150 @ 1.60GHz
      4 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 4 core(s)
      AES-NI CPU Crypto: Yes (active)

Followed these instructions to set it up.

          This fixed my speed issues.

In your open vpn client settings I added this to my custom options.
My speeds went from 40Mbps, to 90Mbps.
My ping times also went from 27ms to 20ms
