Package install error after latest patches

  • Hello,

    I've just updates HAPROXY Packages to:
    HAPROXY --> 0.59_11

    Package seem to work fine, but I got this errors upon updating:

    PHP ERROR: Type: 1, File: /usr/local/pkg/haproxy/haproxy.inc, Line: 2162, Message: Call to undefined function getarraybyref() @ 2018-09-25 05:39:12

    I've retried reinstalling and I got

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function gettext() in /etc/inc/certs.inc:44
    Stack trace:
    #0 /etc/inc/functions.inc(32): require_once()
    #1 /etc/inc/notices.inc(24): require_once('/etc/inc/functi...')
    #2 /etc/inc/config.inc(49): require_once('/etc/inc/notice...')
    #3 /etc/rc.packages(28): require_once('/etc/inc/config...')
    #4 {main}
    thrown in /etc/inc/certs.inc on line 44
    pkg-static: POST-INSTALL script failed

    Cleaning up cache... done.
    Success

    Is it OK or what should I do to fix this ?

    Thanks,
    Andy.

  • I have the same issue with pfblockerNg installation, now I have the same your problem with php, Did you find a solution?

  • Sadly no... be sure to backup. After a reboot, my PFSense box is not displaying the Admin Portal anymore due to PHP not starting....

  • OK fixed it..

    Here is how I did it...

    Have WAN connectivity assigned via DHCP

    dhclient bce0

    Update the pkg metadata

    pkg-static update -f

    Forcefully reinstall all packages

    pkg-static upgrade -fy

    Note: I have a broadcom NIC, thus BCE0, it might be different on your setup.
