[Solved] Can't ping OpenVPN gateway server from LAN

Hey there. I have a VPN setup where the VPN clients can talk to my LAN and vice versa. My pfsense box is setup as a client connecting to an external server. The issue I'm facing is that the LAN clients cannot ping the VPN server itself but the pfsense box can. They are able however to ping VPN clients.

LAN: 10.1.1.0/24
VPN: 10.8.0.0/24
VPN Server 10.8.0.1

I found the issue, it turns out that the OpenVPN server didn't know where to reply to the LAN traffic coming in so I had to add the LAN's route to the OpenVPN server.
