I need help. Searched forums for a couple days. Tried to adapt code from a couple other pfsense I use. Tried various snippets of code in the pfsense book and documentation.
I'm putting in a hotspot and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...
      v2.4.3
I would like when guest users associate with my AP they get a splash page with terms and stuff with an "I Agree" button on the bottom. if they click the button they get internet with a landing page of www.myHomePage.com and then any page they want.
but if they do not click the "I Agree" button they do not get internet.

I've tried and tried and not made much progress...
and could use a little help here, THX

pfSense 2.4.4 has a lot of that stuff built-in. You might give it a try.

I'm not seeing much difference in the CaptivePortal from 2.4.3 to 2.4.4
And I am not seeing how to get it to use a portal.html either with or without authentication.

I took the sample codes and plugged them into portal but it just leads me to the same page or page cannot be displayed

can you point me in the right direction?

I'm hoping to use a common username and password for everyone that get online.
would like the input user_name and input pass_word to have set value and the whole thing hidden except for the I Agree button. which when it gets clicked they get authenticated and allowed through the CP.

I think I'm having issues with the redirect page and the authentication.

                  Hi,

What about the book https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/book/captiveportal/common-captive-portal-scenarios.html ?

                  All it takes :
Select "No Authentication" and use this page as a starting point : https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/book/captiveportal/zone-configuration-options.html#captiveportal-portal-page-contents-noauth

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

I think I got it going. After upgrading to v.2.4.4 I downloaded the built-in portal.html and adapted it to work for me. the ones in the book didn't work.
thx for your patience with me.
