      I am using Pfsense 2.4.4-RELEASE-p2
      I have a problem after adding a new rule .. after apply the rule this error is showing to me :
      There were error(s) loading the rules: /tmp/rules.debug:40: syntax error - The line in question reads [40]: scrub on $WAN all fragment reassemble

      any suggetions?

        Hmm, interesting place for an error.

        Can we see what line 40 in rules.debug actually looks like?
        scrub on $WAN all fragment reassemble looks completely standard, that's copied from my firewall. Unless maybe you don't have a WAN interface?

        Can we see the complete rules.debug file?

          Most likely alias WAN was created
          Therefore, the error appears
          It is easy to check
          just see the output of the command
          cat /tmp/rules.debug | grep WAN
