          Humm.
It's not getting any better here.
Your fist post contains not a lot of info.
          The second even less.

Why no idle time out - and no hard time out ? You read the description of these two settings ? That is not advisable.
About the image : are these all individual users with individual IP's using individual MAC's ?

About the connectivitycheck.gstatic.com check : read https://forum.netgate.com/topic/133398/http-connectivitycheck-gstatic-com-generate_204-error-with-https-login If that page doesn't work : return a 404, the OS probably 'thinks' it isn't connected.
Note that the iOS (Apple) connect test page work : http://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html

It's part of the captive portal support of your device, the OS - as every OS has to "support" captive portals.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

            Hi Gertjan!

            Sorry for the less info.

Actually, I did not set the Idle and Hard time out just for a test.

In the image: those are individual IP's using individual MAC's.
When I saw the Session start and Last activity both in the same time, that connectivitycheck.gstatic.com appears saying that "You are connected" but did not have connection.

I did a standard and simple setting of the captive portal.
            Interface: LAN
Idle Timeout: 60 (before I remove)
Hard timeout: 480 (before before I remove)
            Authentication Method: No Authentication

            Pfsense Version 2.4.1

            Thanks for the reply.

@artz said in Captive Portal - Session Start and Last Activity:

              Pfsense Version 2.4.1

              In that case this :

@artz said in Captive Portal - Session Start and Last Activity:

              "You are connected"

              is normal.

Only experts and those who like/love old bugs should (consider) keeping old version. No one can help you when you use old versions.
New versions came out to, among other, to address issues like having no portal access while the user sees a "you are connected" message (and security issues).

I advise you to read, for example, https://forum.netgate.com/topic/130420/any-change-and-save-update-captive-portal-bug - it proposes a patch (use the Patches package) that solves this issue.
That's right : even the latest version (as of today 2.4.4-p2) has this bug, but this version can be patched (= repaired) in a snap.

A fast solution, that will work right now, is : do not change portal settings when users are connected. And if you have to edit settings, first : disconnect all users.

@artz i think your issue has to deal with the following problem :

there is currently a bug with the captive portal ("reconfiguring a captive portal while users are connected to it, causes troubles for these users. they become half connected/half disconnected and cannot connect anymore").

this issue is known and will be resolved in the next version

the problem you are facing about "last activity" is a side effect of this issue

if you cannot wait for the next version, you could also patch your pfsense (here : https://forum.netgate.com/topic/137824/pfsense-no-internet-when-it-is-said-you-are-connected/13 )
