Hi, recently we have taken over a client that has 3cx onsite. The 3cx stuff is handled by a VOIP company and not us. We have the initial settings working fine. However, we are getting a message that the port 587 is timing out and they can't send an e-mail from the system.

However after the first test fails, the next 10 go through fine. And get delivered.

However if we try to send the official e-mail it never goes through because it has to work on the first attempt.

I know the gmail works because they use it on another customers install and it is fine.
I have opened SMTP by using this info https://vworld.nl/?p=3644

However I have no idea how to get this one e-mail to go through on the first attempt. Has anyone dealt with this? Any ideas as to a resolution?

      Thanks so much!

A rule for an outbound connection ?? Why ?
LAN, by default, allows any IP to connect to any port using any protocol.

Edit : and where are the logs ??
