2.5.0 Development Snapshots are now live!
-
You can now upgrade to 2.5.0 development snapshots for testing. Please read the linked post (including all of the warnings) first.
https://www.netgate.com/blog/pfsense-2-5-0-development-snapshots-now-available.html
If you encounter any errors, please post them in a separate thread.
Reminder: Take a backup before, and a snapshot if it's a VM. These are early development snapshots and are likely to be unstable. Don't expect a smooth ride. We've fixed a lot of obvious things but there is much more left to do. Also, uninstall all packages before upgrading to ensure things go smoothly.

Naturally. Who am I to judge, maybe you get lucky and it works, maybe you have to make the trip to reinstall it while dodging phone calls. If that's what you're into, I'm not stopping ya :-)

hehahaah ;) ROFL!

Looks really good. Hard to resist but I will wait for the RC to update my home device, maybe I'll spin up a test VM on the weekend.
-
Yeah I will update my 2.4.5 VM to this next time I spin it up.
-
Trying on my test box now. Just finished the upgrade now to see if it reboots without to many issues :)
-
Just successfully updated a VM on a Windows 2012R2 hyper-v server from 2.4.5 snapshot to 2.5.0 snapshot. No problems at all.

Time to lock this so it doesn't get too long/confusing.
If you have a problem:
- Check to see if an issue already exists on redmine
- Check for an existing thread in this category and reply there
- If no thread exists, create a new thread in this category
If you do not have any problems (yet) and want to discuss 2.5.0, post in this thread: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/141710/2-5-0-success-stories
