      Hello good day
I am installing a captive portal and I find differences according to which guide read.
The question is: is it necessary to implement a DNS resolver?
The architecture is simple: one card assigned to the WAN and another to the LAN on which the CP would be enabled

      Thank you!!

@infosoporte it is recommended to setup a DNS resolver and on your pfSense, if you want captive portal to work.

if you want your users to use an external DNS server, then you need to add the IP of the DNS server as "Allowed IP address"

otherwise, users won't be able to reach the portal, because DNS requests will be blocked....
