Hello guys, how are you all?

I'm using squidGuard+SquidProxyServer, for some reason, chrome can access some blocked websites, like facebook, but on Firefox, It wont, but i noticed that on the url, a http is added after https.

Can someone help me with this? i'm going nuts =\

You mean like http://https://www.pfsense.org/ or something similar?

        Is Firefox just using http?

Are you running Squid with SSL interception?

        Steve

Hi Steve, if I try to access a porn website, it'll block, if I try to access facebook, it'll show an error about DNS and the link would be like http://https://

Like, I can't access https://www.trasmontano.com.br/, the proxy would shut it down, I'm almost going nuts

          I have 3 problems

1: Some sites should open the block page, and not http://https:// on the url

          2: Chrome can access everything

          3: Can't access https://www.trasmontano.com.br no matter what I do.

            Probably this: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/8827

Try using the redirect mode 'url move' as shown there.

@stephenw10 Hello man, how are you?

I was able to make pfsense work on chrome, now, I can block on both chrome and firefox, But i can't access the page a said before, the message error shows an ip, and connection refuse (60). BUT I can access this website via chrome, I've read on the web about some problems (pfsense bugs) about it, have you experienced something like that before?

So Chrome appears to be just bypassing the proxy entirely?

Do you have QUIC enabled in Chrome? That would need to be blocked if it's using that. Very few sites do currently though.

                Steve

@stephenw10 said in Pfsense blocks websites on Firefox but not on Chrome:

                  QUIC
No, Quic is not enabled on Chrome, just check it out.

I tried some stuff and now Chrome does not bypass anymore, my only problem now is the transmontano.com.br been blocked on firefox, some workers needs to access this website, I just can't figure out Why on chrome it can access but not on firefox.

Chrome loves to cache stuff, probably what was happening.

What error do you see when you try to hit that page in Firefox?

What do you see logged in Squid Realtime?

                    Steve

@stephenw10 I'm sorry for answering just now, had some family issues, but I solved the problem by cleaning the cache and restarting the desktop. I have no problem with any browser.

Thanks for the thelp and attention!
