    Hi all,

I just setup pfblockerng a few weeks ago, pfsense and pfblockerng working great! The only thing that I can't figure out is how to unblock shopping link redirect from legitimate sites.

For example, I go to chase.com and go through their shopping portal to earn points. I believe pfblockerng is blocking the redirect.

I get this on the browser.
    This page isn’t working
    click.linksynergy.com didn’t send any data.
    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

I've tried googling "pfblockerng blocks shopping redirect" and similar but nothing comes up. Can anyone assist in troubleshooting?

    Thanks all in advance!

Paste click.linksynergy.com into the DNBL Whitelist window on the Firewall\pfBlockerNG\DNSBL page, Save the settings at bottom, and force a Reload. I had to add a lot of redirects when using Slickdeals.net.

Or use the Alerts tab to whitelist using the "+" icon, once all domains are whitelisted, do a Force Reload DNSBL to make sure you whitelisting will survive cron Updates.

I tried pasting click.linksynergy.com into the DNBL Whitelist and it worked for one company (Neiman Marcus). When I click Dell small business, it is blocked...

Is there a way to whitelist anything I click that is redirected by Chase.com site?

          RonpfS:
I looked in the Alerts tab to whitelist... but I don't see click.linksynergy.com in any of the logs... how do I know which site is the redirect?

          Thanks!

@sho1sho1sho1 You'll probably need to check the logs to see what's blocked. Possibly another affiliate.

              provels:
Yes, it looks like different stores within the shopping portal has different redirect links. In Chase.com shopping portal, there are probably 50+ stores, some of them use the click.linksynergy.com and some of them have individual link. Groupon has its own link. I added .linksynergy.com and .groupon.com to the DNSBL whitelist and those redirects are now working.

Is there a simpler way to do this instead of adding one store to the whitelist at a time?

For example, is there a way to:
Allow any redirects originating from chase.com? Like a temporary whitelist for anything that is redirected from chase.com?

              Thanks!

@sho1sho1sho1 Were it me, I'd just add as necessary to make things work. Maybe someone else can add. Sorry.

No that is not possible - how would pfblocker know what links are on some website?

Anything that is blocked is visible in the Alerts Tab. You will need to view the reports tab while browsing to see what is getting blocked. You can whitelist from the Reports Tab. Also in pfBlockerNG-devel there is a lock/unlock icon that you can use to temporarily whitelist a domain to help determine if that domain is causing your issue. Keep in mind that you might need to clear the OS/Browser cache to remove any existing blocked domains.
