We are looking into using the SG-1100 as a VPN concentrator for our clients. This will not be the firewall or gateway device and as such I'm curious as to the recommended network configuration.

I currently have it set up in the following way:
      WAN - (WAN) Firewall/Gateway (LAN) - Main Switch Stack - (LAN) SG1100
The firewall is setup to forward 443 to the SG-1100
The SG-1100 has the firewall added as the default gateway

I'm under the impression that my firewall/gateway will need to have a route to the VPN subnet via the SG-1100.

If there is a better way to set this up without having pfSense as the firewall/gateway please let me know.

Slow code? Sounds like a good reason to buy more hardware!

How many clients are you looking at connecting to the SG-1100?

In the vast majority of cases were looking at less than 10 using RDP or small file access. Occasionally some EMR software. I wouldn't expect more than 10-15mbps peak throughput.
