    Hello

We have a situation where we may have multiple people using Playstation 3 consoles behind a single pfsense (currently 1.2.1).

I already read that with XBOX 360 UPnP works ok with multiple XBOXes, but with PS3 I noticed that a lot of games use their own ports and I got the implication that they don't necessarily negotiate with any port ranges, but instead use strictly defined ports. Like mentioned here with GTA4 http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,10052.0.html

Could this mean that only a single machine could play GTA4 with all it online features at the same time?

We also have already a lot of defined port forwarding for different kinds of applications so we can't just dedicate "all the high ports" to UPnP - we have something like the range 20000-40000 totally free, but since different games seem to have different ports, is it so that with PS3 I'm generally in a more serious trouble?

Or, should our users generally be fine with this kind of configuration:

    • Multiple PS3's using DHCP, UPnP on.
    • pfsense's UPnP on, with range 20000-40000 and some single ports dedicated to UPnP.

    Thanks for any help
