      Hi Bill,

Is it correct that when starting Suricata (4.1.4_3) on one interface, the rules for all other interfaces are recreated?
I would expect that the rules would only be recreated for the interface being started (or maybe all interfaces during a complete Suricata service restart or rule update).
I'm using SID Management for all my interfaces, every one has it's own set.

Yeah, at the moment the package calls a subroutine that rebuilds all the interfaces. I can put it on my To-Do list to investigate how hard it would be to separate them. I seem to recall making it the way it is now quite some time back to make sure updates got written to any SYNC replication partners. I would not want to break that by splitting out the rebuild code.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I asked it because now it rebuilds 4 interfaces every time... (before it was eight)
