We have pfsense 1.2.3 with 3 nics : 2 lans, 1 wan. The two lans are bridged together (that is LAN is bridged with LANB and LANB is bridged with LAN). My servers are located in LANB. I have a rule in LANB to allow Domino servers to connect to other Domino box in the LAN (protocol tcp, dest. port 1352). When I watch the log some connections are dropped :

      000000 rule 40/0(match): pass in on bge1: 10.1.4.9.62954 > 10.3.8.4.1352:  tcp 40 [bad hdr length 0 - too short, < 20]
      2. 379195 rule 212/0(match): block in on bge1: 10.1.4.9.60024 > 10.3.8.4.1352:  tcp 32 [bad hdr length 0 - too short, < 20]
