      Hello!
I've set up a Captive Portal with Freeradius, it's working perfectly.
I wish I could have access reports without using squid! Is there any way?

      Thanks!

        Hi,

Except for the log file, mentioning User Id, IP and MAC address, the captive portal logs nothing else.
The portal normally shares the DNS cache resolver with pfSense, so DNS requests from clients could be visible in the DNS log.

Up to you to, use a tools, like Squid, that inspects URLs and other details.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

            • Radius is like adding a tool (package).

FreeRadius will hailstorm the log if you set it up to use daily/weekly/monthly quotas.

            Something like :

Jun 14 14:21:46 root FreeRADIUS: User 107 has used 323 MB of 2048 MB daily allotted traffic. The login request was accepted.
Jun 14 14:21:46 root FreeRADIUS: User x has used 251 MB of 256 MB daily allotted traffic. The login request was accepted.
