Bridge WAP Question

  • I have two Netgear Nighthawk X4 R7500v2 routers.

First R7500 is directly connected to the pfSense and works as expected.
When bridging the second R7500, it successfully connects to first R7500 but I am unable to see any devices, it doesn't assign DHCP addresses, I can only see devices physically connected to itself.

Unfortunately I cannot run cable from the second R7500

Is there a trick to getting this to work? Is it possible with pfSense?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions, etc.
    Statically mapped

    192.168.1.1 /24
    .1 pfSense
    .2 R7500 connected to pfSense
    .3 R7500 attempting to bridge into .2

Prior to pfSense being connected to my network, this setup worked.

So the R7500 directly connected to pfSense is in Access Point mode? And the other one is in wifi client mode?

There is just one layer 2 network here, neither R7500 is routing or NATing?

If the second R7500 has a statically mapped dhcp lease is it pulling that from pfSense? Or is it just using a static IP?
