Has anyone figured out how to make pfSense OpenVPN profiles work with Linux Network Manager? The import doesn't seem to work properly.

I can connect using the command line as shown in this post:

    https://forum.netgate.com/topic/122265/gnome-network-manager-pfsense-openvpn-server-client-export

and am experiencing the same error.

I am trying to make a setup that is user friendly for a non-technical relative, so I would like to make it a "click the box" type of experience similar to connecting to WiFi.

If you find my post useful, please give it a thumbs up!

I have, but it's been so long, I've forgotten what I did.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
      UniFi AC-Lite access point

      I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

@JKnott - Thanks for the reply, it would be nice if someone could offer some specifics, even good quality hints. Since the import/export is a bit of a black box I don't have a clue where to start.

I used the wizard to create the certificate and then imported it into the network manager. I just followed the steps and it wasn't that difficult.

            Which steps? Where?

There is a wizard under OpenVPN. You start that and follow the steps. That's all I did and it works fine.

Can someone at least give me an idea of which exported profile I should be using.
