      Dear sirs,

is there a tutorial to configure the switched LAN ports?
I don't understand at all the use cases of these ports.

      I.e.
      LAN1 - connected to switch 1 - for telephones - 192.168.100.0/24
      LAN2 - connected to switch 2 - for ipcam - 192.168.200.0/24
      LAN3 - connected to switch - for PCs - 192.168.2.0/24

can these be used like this?

It sounds like you're talking about VLANs, which pfSense supports. VLANs are logically separate networks, but running over the same physical network. You can have multiple logical networks on the same wire. For example, it's common to run VoIP on a VLAN, with computers on the native LAN. Then the computer connects through the phone, which is then connected to the switch. Both connections are carried over the same cable and switch port.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
        UniFi AC-Lite access point

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

          see if this helps: https://www.netgate.com/resources/videos/configuring-netgate-appliance-integrated-switches-on-pfsense-244.html

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
