setting up static ip for ports in bridge
-
hey i have a simple setup with a couple of ports in bridge mode and i would like to have a specific ip for each of the ports so that when i connect a device it will have that ip
-
I'm not quite sure what you want here. However, bridges don't provide addresses. Perhaps a little more info on what you're trying to do...

Ok so I have 3 ports in bridge mode acting like a switch I just want to give each port a "static IP" for example 192.168.1.2 for port one and 192.168.1.3 for port 2 so that whenever I connect some device to them they will have that "static IP"

You don't assign addresses to bridge ports. Managed switches will have an address for the entire box, but not individual ports. Also, given the cost of switches, why even bother making one with pfSense?

Right now I'm just testing some configurations with pfsens and I'm in need for these ports to have an IP if they are being connected from a device

Well, I doubt you'll ever find a switch that has an address for each port. I don't see why pfSense should be any different. Here's what the docs say:
