I just replaced our linux firewall with a fpSense RC1a as a test. So far it performs much faster. I really like it. We have a class c of routable IPs on the LAN, so we aren't using any NAT. The only problem we are having is FTP. I opened ports 20 and 21, and made sure the FTP helper was turned on for both interfaces. When I try to login to any of the FTP servers, it logs in, but cannot list the files or directories, it jsut times out. Any ideas?

    Thanks

If you are not using NAT, then you need to turn the FTP helpers off on each of the interfaces.
