please transfer this topic if not on proper section…

i recently bought a sun wireless broadband with huawei e160 3g as its usb modem, can i integrate this on my pfsense firewall? does freebsd support this kind of usb 3g modem? or is there a usb 3g modem to rj45 so pfsense will detect the WAN?

i installed pfsense on my laptop
      ibm t23
      256 mb
internal intel pro lan card (lan)
      dlink pcmcia lan cardbus (wan)

anyone here knows? or probably have partial e160 support?

Based on these two articles, most Huawei modems appear to be supported under FreeBSD:

So, technically, it should/could probably work. I guess the question is how it can be implemented and configured in pfSense.

Post back if you get it to work please.
