      I've got a 4Gb J1900 box runs like a charm.
Been playing around to get squid working off and on.

Noticed when squid is running (without clamav) memory usage is around high 40%, but when clamav is enabled is jumps up to high 90%.

Can this be correct, or am i missing some optimizations.

        Correct.
        Both are pure resource eaters.
Not a big loss, as their function isn't useful on a firewall router.
( the data stream is encoded / encrypted and not accessible to firewall router ).

Squid : on a dedicated proxy.
Clamav : on a mail server, or client-device.

Edit : and where are the logs ??
