      Hi,
I'm trying to use Shallalist or UT1 in pfBlockerNG but running Update (Forced) always gives the same error message:

      *Downloading Blacklist Database(s) [ shallalist (~10MB) ] ... Please wait ...
      Shallalist ... Completed

      [ Shallalist_weapons ] Downloading update [ 02/04/20 12:19:21 ] .
[ Shallalist_weapons ] file_get_contents(/var/db/pfblockerng/shallalist/shallalist_weapons): failed to open stream: No such file or directory*

... and so on for all the shallalist categories selected before updating. The same occurs for UT1 categories.

In /var/db/pfblockerng/, there is a downloaded file shallalist.tar.gz.raw. I could open it with 7zip, downloading it from a winscp session, and it contains all the Shallalist categories, each in his separate directory. But pfblockerng seems to be unable to manage this .raw file and extract the category files in /var/db/pfblockerng/dnsbl/. Instead of that, it creates a Shallalist_weapons.fail file, for instance, if "weapons" category is selected in Shallalist. When I rename this file into shallalist.tar.gz it can be open with 7zip for instance

How can I solve this problem ?
      Thanks a lot in advance

@cmeziere Have you updated pfSense v.2.4.5-RC? There was a file issue that resulted in: Avoid Update - Version 2.4.5.r.20200203.1429 issue

Thank you for the information. I just upgraded from 2.4.5.r.20200202.1951 to 2.4.5.r.20200205.1714 but problem is still there..... I was not convinced it would be solved upgrading pfSense because I first tried pfBlockerNG with 2.4.4.3 and the problem was already there.
          Any other idea?
          Thank you in advance

.....just to add some information: there are 2 more lines in the error message updating DNSBL, for each Shallalist category. The complet message, for each Shallalist category, is:

            **Downloading Blacklist Database(s) [ shallalist (~10MB) ... Please wait ...
            Shallalist ... Completed

            [ Shallalist_weapons ] Downloading update [ 02/06/20 18:57:12 ] .
[ Shallalist_weapons ] file_get_contents(/var/db/pfblockerng/shallalist/shallalist_weapons): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

            [ DNSBL_Shallalist - Shallalist_weapons ] Download FAIL
            Local File Failure**

            ...if it can help :)

@cmeziere It seems that you're having the same problem I am having with pfSense v.2.5-dev where a Squid Clamav cvd is supposed to download, but the database never made it to /var/db...except in your case, it's pfBlockerNG.

@cmeziere The latest snapshot should fix your problem as the latest snapshot of pfSense 2.5-dev fixed my Squid issue.

Thank you for your post. Upgrading pfBlockerNG to 2.2.5_29 did not solved the problem. As my pfsense was on a VM, I created a new VM with pfsense 2.4.4-p3 and installed pfblockerNG and restore most of the parameters of the previous pfsense saved config. On this new install pfblockerNG has no problem with Shallalist.....seems to be a corrupted pfsense on the previous machine. So problem is solved. Thank you your help and comments.
