same/similar behavior of you @johnpoz ,
this is only a test vm with pfsense 2.5, only 1 wan interface and ladvd installed, esxi 6.7u3, hp dl360p gen8, on my cisco i have a warning

%CDP-W-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: Duplex mismatch detected on interface gi1/0/2.

i can't change ethernet autoselect
it should be 1000Mbps connection

what is it? a bug ? how can i prevent that warning ?

That was a long time ago - if you turn off ladvd does the issue go away?

If I recall I used e1000 vs vmx and no problem
